The :PK: project will revive the post-industrial space of the EC1 power station, with an original concept linking choreography, parkour, film and music. The main protagonist is Łódź, with its architectural and symbolic nooks and crannies. This way of moving within the urban, post-industrial space, reminiscent of virtuoso tracers, comes in contact with the striving for a symbolic path – the dusty, somewhat unwanted family history. The space which melts into one grayish image for today’s inhabitants of Łódź is a territory of unending challenge for the tracers, while the choreographers have seen it as their job to confront their own identities. The phenomenon of reminiscence, a quality of memories of all kinds, an echo of sorts transformed into movement and inscribed in music, links the works of all the artists in the project. The play is made up of parts that are enacted in the city space (by a trio of tracers), a musical choreography duo on stage, and a mini film screening.

Kaya Kołodziejczyk – (b. 1981) graduated from the Roman Turczynowicz School of Ballet in Warsaw and the P.A.R.T.S. School of Contemporary Dance in Brussels. She has been making her own choreographed projects for years, including Pom 2OOO, Favourite Superhero, One for Francesca, Night of 3/free styles, and Birth Out. She is a founder of the informal U/LOI Universal Law Of Impermanence group. She is a performer and lecturer in contemporary dance at the P.A.R.T.S. school in Belgium.
